Frequently Asked Questions
At what age should I bring my child for a developmental assessment?
If you have any concern about your child's development at any age, it is appropriate to seek an opinion. Early intervention is most effective β there is no minimum age. If you notice speech delay, limited eye contact, repetitive behaviours, or any developmental regression, reach out promptly.
Do I need a referral to see Dr Rine Benson?
No referral is needed. You can contact us directly via WhatsApp or through the online booking link to schedule an appointment at the Saidapet clinic or an online consultation.
Are online consultations as effective as in-person visits?
Online consultations are very effective for developmental opinions, reviewing existing assessments, intervention planning, and parent guidance. For initial comprehensive assessments, an in-person visit is recommended where possible.
What should I bring to the first appointment?
Please bring your child's birth records, vaccination card, any previous reports (school, speech, OT, or psychology), and a brief note of your concerns. Short video clips of your child at home and during play are extremely helpful.
What is the Parent Training Program?
The Parent Training Program is a structured online program designed to help parents embed NDBI and Hanen-based developmental strategies into everyday routines. It is available to families across India and does not require travel to Chennai.
